The 1st XI head into round 2 after coming through a potential banana skin tie at home to Crossflatts. Crossflatts elected to bat first and posted a very useful score of 268ao. Sunnny Matharu picking up 4 and 2 a piece for Abs Dawood & Mo Suleman. In reply UCCs batting held up after recent collapses. Danish Hussain hit 48 to get the side off to a good start, before Kyle Welsh 108 and debutant overseas Suraj Singh 63 put on 169 for the 3rd wicket. Both fell just just short of the target score.
