Ossett face Saints in Priestley Cup

Premier Division new boys Ossett will host Pudsey St Lawrence in the first round of the Gordon Rigg Priestley Cup.

The clash will provide an early indication of the strength of the side that Ossett have assembled since winning the Division One title.

A second all-Premier Division clash sees last season’s beaten finalists Townville take on Farsley on Sunday, May 1.

Bankfoot, runners up in Division One last season, have home advantage against Birstall while East Ardsley – playing in the competition for the first time after being promoted from Division Two – host East Bierley.

Holders New Farnley and league champions Woodlands are among the eight sides who have received byes.
