June 2013 Newsletter

Well hello folks and welcome to the newsletter.

 John Howard Dewhirst

It is very sad to report that Assistant Treasurer John Howard Dewhirst died suddenly in Scarborough on Saturday 8th June while on a short break to watch Yorkshire.

John was 100 % committed to Undercliffe, his death is a big loss to the Club, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

 Cricket News.

The 1st X1 are currently lying fifth boosted by a good win away at previously unbeaten Farsley.

The 2nd X1 are lying third and the 3rd X1 have reached the semi-final of their cup competition.

The first X1 in the Dyson Twenty / 20 Cup competition having beaten Bradford & Bingley are now away to Lightcliffe.

The Priestley Cup Final in 2014 has been awarded to U.C.C. the club is really pleased and aim to make the day a huge success.

Finally, a special mention for one of our younger cricketers Adam Frost. Adam has been selected for the Yorkshire Schools U15 Squad; he has already been played 3 games for Yorkshire Development these have been against West, North and East Yorkshire.

So may I on behalf of U.C.C. offer him our congratulations and continued success for the future.
